NEC POSTAL BALLOT

NEC Elections 2007

SAFE is calling for nominations for members to join our National Executive Committee (NEC). The NEC is made up of nine individuals who are expected to contribute their knowledge, expertise, guidance and support to the development of SAFE. NEC members need a sound knowledge of SAFE's work, to have been a SAFE member for over a year, and to be willing to actively participate in strategic planning and decision making.

Management, marketing, legal or accounting skills are an advantage, but not essential. NEC members are expected to participate in twice-yearly meetings and two teleconferences, in addition to regular communications throughout the year via email and fax.

As long as you are a current SAFE member you can nominate yourself by email or post.

You will also need to supply:

a) a personal profile (100 words);

b) a summary of your involvement with SAFE or experience with

animal rights/welfare issues (100 words); and

c) a recent photograph of yourself.

NEC members are elected by SAFE members, via a ballot. If elected, you will be invited to attend SAFE's AGM and committee meeting in Christchurch on 8-9 September (travel expenses paid by SAFE).

Secretary

Treasurer
