A NOTICE TO SAFE MEMBERS

SAFE SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING NOTICE

SAFE members are invited to a Special General Meeting to vote on an amendment to the SAFE Rules to bring them in line with what is required by the Charities Commission to allow SAFE to have charitable status. 

SAFE board members will seek a motion to include the word ‘charitable' in Clause 14 of the SAFE Rules, relating to what would happen in the event of SAFE winding up. The new wording would be:

"...shall be passed onto a New Zealand registered Society or Societies whose charitable objects are most in accord with the objects of this Society"

The meeting will be held at 7pm on Wednesday 27 May at the Auckland SAFE office located at 3/63 Great North Road, Grey Lynn.
