I have been supporting SAFE and assisting with their campaigns on and off for a number of years now, in particular their campaigns against the battery farming of hens and crate farming of pigs. We are all living lives where it is terrible easy to simply support the uncontrolled exploitation of so many of our resources and animals of course are at the top of this list. I feel, as a consumer of meat myself, that at the very least I need to be conscious of how these animals are treated and that I consume with a high degree of personal responsibility in regards to this. My association with SAFE has demanded this. I am also aware now that as the earth changes and climate change is happening that one of the things I need to do next is not support the farming of animals on any level. That perhaps is my next challenge and my association with SAFE may lead me to this! They are a great organisation and I'm proud to be associated with them. They keep me conscious!

SAFE are an amazing organisation who are the true face of NZ's clean green image. The way they conduct themselves in a caring, sincere and dignified manner, even when faced with the most abhorrent abuse of animals by certain industries, should be taught in every school in NZ. If it were the world would truly be a better place. SAFE have taught me to view the world through different eyes. Before I met these guys I lived in a me, me, me world always putting myself before anyone or anything else and unconcerned about the effect my behaviour was having on those around me. I realise now that what I do and how I behave impacts on everyone around me, especially the children and it is my responsibility to lead by example. Not by talking about it but by doing it! Thank you SAFE for setting the example for me to follow, my life is so much richer because of it. Everyday I am stopped by people and thanked for helping the pigs; I always tell people that the true hero's are the team at SAFE. You have made me see the world through different eyes Hans and I will be forever grateful. Kia kaha SAFE! | | | | |

I go to sleep at night happy knowing that I'm supporting a wonderful charity that does right by our fury, snorty, flappy friends. It's important to me to be involved with safe because they are brave and push for change so all animals in NZ are treated with love and compassion.
Because of SAFE I question the foods I eat and have a wider knowledge of animal cruelty, equally I know what I can do to help.
Yay SAFE! And, Yay Animals!
