Close scrutiny reveals that behind clever wording there are still legal loopholes that will allow for the cruelty of animals to continue. Lawyer and SAFE board member Vernon Tava (LLM) will explain why and how livestock animals can still, legally be treated in ways that would shock most New Zealanders. SAFE Executive Director Hans Kriek will also be in attendance and will explain what SAFE wants to see in the act, why, and what you can do to help.
