West Auckland SAFE night 7pm Thursday 3 July, Titirangi Community House, 500 South Titirangi Road A follow up meeting and vegan pot luck to meet each other and talk about upcoming activities in the west. Auckland collections Volunteers are dressing up as their favourite animal and hitting the streets to raise funds for the Love Pigs campaign! CHRISTCHURCHSAFE Talk - Chch Thursday 3 July, 7pm at SAFE, Level 1, 145 Armagh St Introducing animals into the classroomThe latest SAFE school booklet in the Animals & Us series has just been released into New Zealand secondary schools. This booklet entitled Animal Rights, Human Values, Social Action introduces the learner to the philosophies and history of the modern animal rights movement and explores how social action is driven by human values. SAFE Education Officer, Nichola Kriek will give an overview of the resource and explain how teachers and students can benefit from exploring the relationship between the human and non-human animal. All welcome! Volunteer meetings These are now held on the first Thursday of every month, 7-9pm at SAFE, Level 1, 145 Armagh St. Meetings will include guest speakers or education/discussion sessions on animal rights issues, and info on events/actions you can get involved with. New people are always welcome. SAFE is organising monthly collections outside supermarkets around Christchurch to raise money for the LovePigs campaign. VOLUNTEERING FOR SAFE  SAFE has volunteer coordinators and supporters throughout New Zealand who help promote SAFE's work and support our national campaigns. Volunteering for SAFE is an essential role as it helps to spread the message against animal cruelty issues across New Zealand. Volunteers can organise or assist with undertaking stalls, displays, public meetings, protest actions, fundraising events and actively support SAFE humane education programme.
