FOUR SAFE volunteers teamed up recently to enter the SBS 10km Marathon walk - in pig costumes! Complete with anti-factory farming signs, the four braved the cold, wet weather and caught the attention of other competitors, onlookers and the race announcers. The four were also featured in a large colour photograph in The Press. Nice work! I see pigs! I see pigs! I see pigs!! Help raise awareness for factory farmed pigs by entering one of your local fitness events (most have walk options) in a pig costume.
You can also spend a day dressed as a pig at your school or even work! Remember to take photos! Email sacha@safe.org.nz to find out how.
