The SAFE team in Wellington had a strong presence at the recent Vegetarian Expo, running a vegetarian sausage sizzle and an information stall.
Organiser Trudi Uttinger reported the SAFE stall was very popular, with a large number of people signing up to the SAFE bulletin, and new volunteers were also recruited. Many people stopped to watch SAFE's short documentary on pig farming, narrated by one of the country's leading actors, Robyn Malcolm, which was playing continuously on the stall. Trudi says the vegetarian sausages were extremely popular, and they sold a few hundred throughout the day. Well done to Trudi and volunteers.
