If you have experience as a social media coordinator, coordinating volunteers or as a campaign assistant we want to hear from you!
We have outlined two positions below, but we welcome applications from people who want to work full or part-time, and those that may only have experience in one of two of the areas.
Positions are based in Auckland and are fixed term for 12 months.
Outreach Assistant (social media/campaigns)
Are you an experienced social media coordinator who’s passionate about making a difference for animals PLUS someone who has the motivation and drive to assist our busy campaigns team? If so, come join us for a unique opportunity!
Reporting to the Campaigns Manager, you will be primarily focused on coordinating social media and assisting with campaigns. We are looking for that special someone to strengthen our already exceptional social media presence, and a self-starter willing to take on any, and all, tasks.
And we’d also like to see:
Exceptional persuasive communication skills. The ability to communicate our message well to supporters and followers.
Demonstrated time management and diligence: managing social media requires meticulous attention to detail, as well as time management and exemplary organisational skills.
Efficiency: the ability to quickly carry out research and tasks.
You’ll also need to have a full NZ drivers licence, and ability to drive a manual van for this role, OR access to your own vehicle for running errands.
Volunteer Engagement Assistant
Do you love people AND animals? Then this is the perfect role for you.
The ideal candidate will have genuine passion and motivation for both people and animal advocacy, be creative, and have excellent written and verbal communications skills. Reporting to the Head of Supporter Engagement, you will be proactive and dynamic, be confident in speaking to volunteers, and be highly organised, efficient and able to work on their own initiative, as well as to take direction and work as part of a team.
You’ll also need to have a full NZ drivers licence, and ability to drive a manual van for this role.
And we’d also like to see:
Experience of managing volunteers – this is preferred, but not essential.
Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and internet and email.
Excellent communication and written skills.
