We're here for Animals People the Planet

Across Aotearoa, animals (especially farmed animals) are being failed by the system meant to protect them.

But together, we are a force for change.

We use robust research and evidence, strategic communications, and public support to drive institutional, political and societal change, to improve outcomes for animals, people, and the planet.

So, how do we make change for animals?

By challenging the systems that exploit them.

Change the food system

We’re working to reduce Aotearoa’s reliance on animal agriculture by using research to identify opportunities for food system change, building awareness of the positive impacts of plant-based eating, and holding retailers accountable to their existing policies to remove cruel animal products from their supply chains and promote and sell plantbased foods.

Our broken food systems are upheld by the demand for animal products – that’s why we’re empowering people to ‘Go Vegan’, by giving them the tools and knowledge to make it happen.

Fix the broken animal welfare system

We’re working to end the suffering of animals through people-powered campaigns that influence decision-makers and improve outcomes for animals.

We’re holding the Government accountable for failing to protect animals, and are calling for urgent reform of our broken animal welfare system.

We’re making animal suffering impossible to ignore through high-visibility public awareness campaigns, designed to build momentum and opposition to cruel practices.

Through robust research, industry monitoring, and investigations, we’re holding the Government accountable for failing to protect animals. We expose conflicts of interests and industry capture, pursue formal complaints when regulators fail in their duties, and challenge an enforcement system weakened by conflicting mandates and industry influence. This work supports our ambition to secure meaningful reform so the wellbeing of animals can genuinely be prioritised.
