The Muddied Truth Event Series | Wellington
SAFE is bringing The Muddied Truth to Wellington – a powerful pop-up event exposing the reality of mud farming (intensive winter grazing) and its devastating impact on animals, the environment, and our communities.
This immersive activation will feature a symbolic mud-paddock installation, storytelling panels, and a petition station. Attendees will be invited to take action by signing our petition to ban mud farming and enjoy a free plant-based snack in return.
Why we’re calling for a ban on mud farming
Every year, animals are left to suffer in muddy paddocks without proper shelter or care. These conditions breach the Animal Welfare Act 1999, inflicting pain, distress, and even death. Mud farming also pollutes waterways, destroys ecosystems, and threatens human and animal health. It’s time to end this cruel and destructive practice.
