10 veggies a day can save your life

April 24th, 2017

New research from Imperial College London found that if you want to  reduce your risk of heart attack, stroke, cancer and early death, you’ll  need to pile on the veggies.

The study analysed 95 other pieces of research on populations  worldwide and their fruit and vegetable intake. It estimates that  approximately 7.8 million premature deaths worldwide could be  potentially prevented by eating 10 portions of fruit and vegetables a  day.

Eating 10 portions per day was associated with:

  • 24% reduced risk of heart disease
  • 33% reduced risk of stroke
  • 28% reduced risk of cardiovascular disease
  • 13% reduced risk of total cancer, and
  • 31% reduction in premature death.

It’s easy to eat 10 fruits and vegetables a day on a vegetarian  diet. Not only is cutting out animal products good for you, it’s also  kinder on the planet and it helps save lives.

Your compassion today can create a future where every animal is valued.
