Rodeo is cancelled after activists protest against ‘animal cruelty’ in heated confrontation with aggressive cowboys

A popular rodeo has been cancelled after animal rights activists protesting the event clashed with ‘confrontational’ cowboys. The New Zealand Mid Northern Rodeo Club said the annual event had been closed due to financial pressures and would be back in 2021 with a different family focus.
