In memory of Regan Russell, featuring her friends, Toronto Pig Save, and Camille Labchuk

July 6th, 2020

On today’s show, we remember Regan Russell. Regan was an animal rights activist with Toronto Pig Save, who was tragically killed recently when she was hit by a truck transport pigs. We’re joined by some of those who were closest to her, to share her story and the work that she did.

We’re also joined by Camille Labchuk, one of Canada’s leading animal rights lawyers and Executive Director of Animal Justice. We talk about Ontario’s bill 156, which has been dubbed an ‘ag-gag’ law, and what this could mean for those advocating for animals.

Animals are being failed by a broken system - You can change that

Please give generously this Christmas, so that we can advocate for a Commissioner for Animals and create the strong, independent oversight that is missing from our animal welfare system. Your compassion can transform the future for every animal who is suffering right now.
