Delicious plant-based eateries receive the 2019 EAT KIND Awards
November 14th, 2019Delicious plant-based eateries receive the 2019 EAT KIND Awards
For the third year running, SAFE has celebrated World Vegan Day by recognising eateries who are going above and beyond to offer up the most delicious, innovative plant-based dishes.
With more plant-based eateries sprouting up around the country, this year’s decision has been the toughest one yet!
SAFE was delighted to present the 2019 EAT KIND Awards:
Gorilla Kitchen – North Island
Taking the cake for the North Island Award, Auckland-based Gorilla Kitchen is a plant-based paradise. They invite you to “eat like a King without compromising on flavour, health or ethics.” Gorilla Kitchen keep their mouth-watering menu fresh and exciting with the likes of a “Gorilla-Filla” big breakfast, pancakes, beautiful salads or kumara nachos bowls and the most delectable sweets imaginable.
Plant Blazed – Themed Cuisine
Wellington’s Plant Blazed could not be more deserving of the Themed Cuisine Award. Churning out the best burgers Wellington has to offer (yes, a big call, but we’ve made it) as well as starring specials like hot-dawgs or tofush n’ chips … and it’s all made in-house! Well, ‘in-van’ to be precise.
Grater Goods – South Island
South Island EAT KIND winners, Grater Goods are new to the scene, yet this specialty delicatessen and eatery has taken Christchurch by storm! Their platters, burgers and loaded fries keep vegans and non-vegans alike coming back for more. Even café chains want a taste! Coffee Culture’s menu will soon be starring Grater Goods deli meats.
