The best chocolate cake!

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 and grease two round cake tins
  2. Mix all of the dry ingredients together
  3. Mix together all of the wet ingredients and add to the dry mixture, making sure it’s mixed thoroughly
  4. Pour evenly into the two cake tins and bake for 30 mins or until a knife comes out clean
  5. Allow the cake to cool completely before spreading a generous layer of raspberry jam in between the two layers
  6. Top with fresh berries or defrosted frozen berries
  7. Serve with vegan ice cream, whipped coconut cream or on its own!

Ingredients:

1 1/4 cups flour

1 cup sugar

1/3 cup cocoa powder

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup warm water

1 tsp vanilla essence

1/3 cup oil

1 tsp apple cider vinegar

1 cup frozen or fresh berries

Raspberry jam
